For over 130 years, the Catholic Association of Foresters has supported the well-being of our members, their families, and the communities we serve. Founded in 1879, we are a fraternal benefit society that has enriched the lives of thousands of members, families, and the lives of those in need.

Our original mission was to help ensure the financial security and integration of Irish Catholic immigrants who had come to America to start a new life. In 1928, our membership was 57,807 strong.

Over the years, the society remained true to the mission and expanded upon it significantly. Today, our benefits are available to all those of Catholic faith, regardless of race or national origin. We continue to offer security through a wide range of affordable life insurance products for our members. But, our policyholders are more than just customers – they are an essential part of our society’s “extended family”, or member community.

Whether it’s over a Communion breakfast, at our children’s Christmas party or during our annual convention, our member community loves to have fun, make connections and build friendships, and share in Catholic faith together. It’s just what we do, naturally!

Our society also believes that children are an important part of our future and their educational security is essential for our collective success. We offer non-contractual benefits like educational grants, college scholarships, and religious educational programs. Our college-age members can apply for scholarships to Holy Cross College, Emmanuel College, Our Lady of the Elms, and St. John’s Seminary.
Most importantly, our society strives to benefit all Catholics, in addition to our own members. Our permanent charity fund supports donations to the Bishop, to religious educational programs, and to other charitable missions. Our society members perform countless charitable deeds in their local communities across Massachusetts and around the globe.

The future looks bright for the Foresters. We cordially invite you to join our community – visit our Contact Us form or call us at 1-800-282-2263 for a quick insurance quote. We look forward to hearing from you!
